When it comes to
Home Inspection you must make sure your
home inspector is aware of electrical issues your home may have. I have experience in the electrical field as an inspector and electrician.
New York home inspectors are required to document and report on electrical issues but some may go with out detection. It is important that your
home inspector remove the panel cover during the inspection. Some areas that have older homes for sale. Could have Old wiring like knob and tube wiring or aluminum wiring. A Home Inspection should find these issues by testing the devices fixtures and outlets in the home.
But and inspection of the attic area is a must to identify any possible knob and tube wiring in the home. Knob and tube wiring is known for fires and failure and is still found in older homes. Knob and tube wiring fails often in the attic area due to rodents and insulation installed over the wiring.
